EDMOND, Okla. – RCB Bank welcomes Cindy Clopton as a senior mortgage loan originator in Edmond.
Clopton has worked in banking for more than 40 years and has more than 20 years of experience in mortgage lending. She is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University and received the Leadership Award.
“There’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone achieve the dream of homeownership,” Clopton said. “I look forward to serving RCB Bank customers, utilizing my vast experience to make the home-buying process as smooth as possible.”
Clopton, was raised on a ranch in southeast Texas in a small ranching community. She said her No. 1 piece of financial advice is “to spend wisely and save.”
She is actively involved in the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders (COHBA) and Professional Women in Building (PWB) organizations. PWB orchestrates the Build My Future expo, which is held every year for high school students.
“There is a booth and hands-on experience for every trade linked to construction,” Clopton said. “Last year was our second year, and we had over 700 high school students attend. PWB, along with trade schools and other sponsors, also award scholarships. This is for students who won’t attend college but gives them ideas of other jobs available. PWB is also involved with PIVOT of United Way and the tiny housing project for kids who are aging out of foster care.”
When not working, Clopton enjoys playing the piano, going to the theater and spending time with her granddaughter, Lainey.
“Lainey and I love to bake and go to the theater,” Clopton said. “Some of our baking turns out pretty bad, but we have fun.”
