RCB Bank has agreed to purchase some of the deposits of SpiritBank in Cushing, Drumright, Edmond, Oilton, Oklahoma City, Stillwater and Stroud. These seven SpiritBank branches will be open for business as RCB Bank during normal business/operating hours begining on May 10, 2014.
Does this mean my money is moving? If you had an account with SpiritBank, you now have an account with RCB Bank. Your account number will stay the same (except for a few accounts that must be changed due to duplications). All deposit accounts, which include checking, savings, money market, CDs and retirement accounts, have been transferred to RCB Bank, regardless of the dollar amount.
Will my branch be closing? After the transition on May 9, all seven branches will continue to operate as normal under RCB Bank.
Do I need to order checks? Until the May transition, there are no changes to your accounts. Please continue business as usual.
You will be receiving:
- new debit cards,
- new checks with updated routing numbers, and
- new online banking credentials.
You will receive your new debit card, checks, etc. in the mail before the rollout date in May.
Is my money available? Yes, all your money is available for transactions during regular business hours at your current SpiritBank branch.
Can I still bank online/by phone/mobile? Yes, all your current banking services are still operational. Please use your current SpiritBank username/passwords to log in as you have previously done. You will be notified when changes are to occur to your online banking. You will receive notification by mail of your new online user ID and password.
Can I still use my ATM card? Yes. Until RCB completes the conversion of the seven SpiritBank branches, your banking continues normal. Your new RCB Bank ATM/Check Card will begin working on May 9, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. You should receive your new card and personal identification number (PIN) by mail during the week of May 5, 2014. RCB Bank Check Cards work as both credit and debit. Review the information in your card mailing closely, for daily limits on purchases and ATM withdrawals. We also have preventative measures in place to protect you from fraud; contact us if you plan to travel out of state or country so that we can ensure your card works properly.
Can acquiring SpiritBank customers make deposits and withdrawals at RCB Bank locations? Not until after the conversion on May 10, 2014.
Do I have to change bill pay or my direct deposits from work? Yes. What you will need to do:
- Notify any companies or entities making deposits or withdrawals to and from your Spiritbank account of the change and the new routing number associated with these transactions. RCB Bank routing number - 103112594. We have made arrangements to forward all automatic transactions to RCB for a period of 90 days following the transition. Please try to have all automatic transactions converted by July 9, 2014. Download our ACH Guide to help you.
For online bill payments, you’ll need to reenter your bill payee information and payments into
your new RCB Bank online account. We do not collect passwords and cannot login
to your online account(s) for privacy. Your username and password will be sent to you in the mail shortly. Use our Bill Pay Guide to help you.
- We can help. We know this is a lot of work, and we’re here to help in any way we can. I recently opted in for overdraft protection with SpiritBank, do I have to Opt In at RCB now? Yes, a new opt-in election is required under federal regulations. You should have received a letter in the mail regarding RCB Bank overdraft services and your options. If you did not receive a letter, contact us at 855-BANK-RCB (855-226-5722) after May 9th and we can accept your chosen option verbally over the phone. Options available:
Option 1: Keep Overdraft Services on ATM and Check Card Transactions
Do you want to keep Bounce Protection for your ATM withdrawals and Check Card transactions? Bounce Protection can save you the embarrassment of having a transaction declined if you have made a mistake in balancing your account or are short on cash. Remember, there are overdraft charges anytime you overdraw your account.
Option 2: Decline Overdraft Services on ATM and Check Card Transactions
If you choose to decline Bounce Protection or if we do not get a response from you, you will no longer have overdraft services for your ATM withdrawals and Check Card transactions. This means that you will be declined when you swipe your card if there is not enough money in your account to cover the transaction.
What about my loan/mortgage with SpiritBank? How do I make a payment? You should receive notification from SpiritBank if your loan is being transferred to RCB Bank effective May 9, 2014. If your loan is being transferred to RCB Bank, your payments to RCB Bank begin on May 9, 2014. Send all payments due on or after May 9 to RCB Bank.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your loan or mortgage currently with SpiritBank, please contact SpiritBank at 918-712-9292.
