Bartlesville Regional Chamber of Commerce and sponsor RCB Bank will be presenting a business development forum from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 19 at Tri County Technology Center in the Osage Dining Room.
The topic of the forum is “Employment Law and Hot Issues” with speakers Andy Lester and Shannon Davies of Lester, Loving & Davies of Edmond.
Chamber member reservations are $20 per person and include a buffet lunch.
The subjects covered by the speakers are the legal issues surrounding employees including employee handbooks, employee contracts, non-compete clauses, social media usage in the workplace and other issues.
Lester has written more than 100 articles on professional and public policy issues, taught law at Oklahoma City University, appeared as counsel before committees of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, been interviewed by major news media and been a featured guest on MSNBC’s Hardball and CNN’s The Situation Room, just to name a few of his accomplishments.

She was co-creator and co-chair of the Edmond Chamber’s Task Force on Women in Business and has spent her career advocating for workers’ rights with corporate clients and in the courtroom.
“We are excited to have such qualified speakers for this event. We encourage our chamber member business owners to spend their lunch hour with us and get some useful information to help their businesses,” said Chamber President Sherri Wilt.
