Making the Switch
What you will need to do
• Open an account at any RCB Bank branch.
• Set up your RCB Bank online account and enter your online bill payee information. Our friendly staff can help you with this when you open your account.
• Stop using your old account and confirm all automatic transactions and outstanding checks have cleared the account.
• Enjoy the rewards of banking at RCB Bank.
What you need to know about making the switch to RCB Bank
Some companies require notice of changes to direct deposit/withdrawals well in advance of the billing date.
A change notice may not take effect until the next billing cycle.
Do not close your old account(s) until you are certain all automatic transactions and outstanding checks have cleared the account.
You may be charged fees if the account is closed before a transaction has been fully processed.
Keep an adequate balance in your old account until you are confident all requested automatic payments have been transferred to your new account.
Shred your old checks and debit cards to safeguard against fraud and identity theft.
Be sure to cancel debit cards before shredding. Even if your account is closed, you are still at risk of identity theft if old accounts remain open.
You will need to re-enter your bill payee information into your new RCB Bank online account.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way around this because only you have access to your old and new online banking system. We do not collect passwords and cannot login to your online account(s). Make a list of your bill payees and re-enter them once you get access to your RCB Bank online account. An easy way to switch might be to add a bill payee whenever you receive a new bill.
