WELLINGTON, KANSAS - RCB Bank names Wellington local Scott Bannister as Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer.
Bannister has worked in the agricultural field most of his professional career, with the USDA's Rural Development Lending and Farmers Home Administration agencies. During his 25-year banking experience, he has served in senior management for a commercial bank and as a registered investment advisor. He holds a current Kansas insurance license, and is also a Kansas certified substitute teacher.
"Having lived in Sumner County for 25 years, Scott knows the area," said Larry Hoover, RCB Bank Tri-County Market President. "His genuine personality and friendly demeanor are a perfect match with RCB Bank's relationship banking customer service model."
Bannister is currently serving his 11th year as board president for KanOkla Networks, a $150 million dollar technology cooperative, located in Caldwell, KS. He has been a member of the board for 13 years.
He is also a 9-year volunteer ambassador for Life Outreach International, founded by James Robison in Fort Worth, TX. He is active in mission feeding activities and fundraising. He is a certified Celebrate Recovery facilitator, a support group for people struggling with hurts, habits and hang-ups.
"The time and attention I invest to my customers is what separates me from the rest," said Bannister. "I'm a hands off lender, meaning I don't tell customers how I would do it. I don't give advice, unless I am asked."
Bannister is a 1983 graduate from Wellington High School.
